About the role
The Host/Hostess greets and seats guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout the dining area. This full‑time position supports smooth operations and guest satisfaction in a busy hotel restaurant.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, prepared tables.
- Pull out chairs, place current menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
- Monitor dining room for seating availability, safety, and guest well‑being.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
- Follow company safety policies, report incidents, and complete required training.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
- Clear, courteous communication and ability to answer phones with proper etiquette.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality and guest service.
