L2 Backend Developer & Support Engineer (Remote)

About the role

SupportYourApp is looking for a fluent‑English L2 Backend Developer and Support Engineer to join its global, multilingual support team. You will work remotely, providing high‑level technical assistance while also developing and maintaining backend services for a portfolio of SaaS and hardware clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional technical support via calls, chats and emails, handling L2 tickets in Zoho Desk.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, APIs, MongoDB and Kafka.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve escalated incidents, including on‑premise load balancers, clustering and queue issues.
• Collaborate with L1 support, customer IT teams and internal developers to ensure efficient problem resolution.
• Communicate internally via Slack and track work in JIRA.

Required profile

• Excellent English (C1 level) – spoken and written.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive, responsible attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage L2 support tickets.
• Personal computer with at least 8 GB RAM and a stable internet connection (45 Mbps download, 20 Mbps upload).
