Network and System Administrator

About the role

The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia (CEC) is looking for a Network and System Administrator to administer, monitor and maintain its IT infrastructure and services. The role covers servers, networks, storage, security, virtualization, directory services and database support.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy and maintain physical servers and network equipment (HP, Dell, Cisco, Sophos, Juniper)
• Administer Windows Server (2019+) and Linux systems, perform troubleshooting and maintenance, and update firmware and hardware
• Manage SAN/NAS storage, monitor performance and plan capacity expansion
• Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery and replication strategies
• Configure VLANs, manage Layer 2/3 switching and optimize network segmentation and traffic
• Manage Sophos firewalls, IPSec/SSL/L2TP VPNs, and SSL certificates (IIS, Apache, NGINX)
• Administer Hyper-V, Windows Failover Clustering and SCVMM, and Linux/Windows hosting environments
• Install and maintain Exchange Servers (including DAGs and hybrid deployments), and configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC
• Manage on-premises and hybrid Active Directory environments
• Install and configure databases, manage backups, recovery and performance, and handle migrations and data imports/exports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in system/network administration
• Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and database administration
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, able to work independently and in a team
• Proficiency in Armenian and English (written and spoken)
