Chinese Translator

About the role

SoftConstruct is looking for a Chinese translator to join its team. The role covers translating operational, technical and marketing materials from English and Armenian into Chinese, with daily updates and maintenance of localized content.

Key responsibilities

• Translate a diverse range of operational, technical and marketing materials from English and Armenian into Chinese.
• Deliver accurate, fluent and culturally appropriate translations that preserve the original context, tone and intent.
• Update and maintain localized content daily so it stays accurate across platforms.
• Proofread, edit and review final translated assets for terminology consistency, grammar and style.
• Prioritize and manage high-volume translation tasks within the strict turnaround times set by the unit lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Asian Studies or a related field.
• Native or professional proficiency in Chinese.
• Professional proficiency in both Armenian and English, written and spoken.
• At least 1 year of professional translation experience.

• Sharp eye for detail with strong proofreading and editing abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership and adherence to confidentiality.
• Time management skills and ability to meet daily deadlines.
