Finance Associate

About the role

Quantum Light is seeking a hands‑on Finance Associate to support the CFO and the wider finance team. This role offers broad exposure to a fast‑moving investment business and is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with 3‑4 years of accounting or audit experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly financial reporting and management reporting packs.
• Reconcile and manage financial data across Quantum Light entities, including the UK and Dubai.
• Support the CFO with reporting and consolidation activities.
• Prepare and review payments, including high‑value investment‑related transactions.
• Maintain and improve recurring finance processes, from spreadsheets to workflows.
• Build tracking and reporting for travel, subscriptions, and payroll.
• Partner with Legal, Investment, Fundraising and other teams on finance‑related requests.
• Assist finance projects and drive process improvements across the business.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in accounting, audit, or a similar finance role.
• Experience in a Big Four or Top 10 firm is preferred.
• ACC(A) or ACA qualified, or actively working towards the qualification.
• Exceptional attention to detail and confidence handling high‑value financial data.
• Strong analytical, organisational and proactive mindset with a sense of ownership.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong accounting fundamentals.
• Excellent Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Familiarity with Xero and UK VAT/corporation tax (a plus).
