Principal Program Manager - Services

About the role

The Global Services Offering Portfolio team simplifies and converges service offerings that help customers achieve their outcomes, focusing on customer outcome-based services and integrated plans supporting NI platforms across their lifecycle. Emerson is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that are often not fully defined at the outset, bringing structure to ambiguity, building trust with teams and senior leaders, and keeping business outcomes central to every decision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business transformation projects that improve Services operations, enable scale and strengthen customer outcomes.
• Partner with leaders to turn strategic priorities into project plans covering scope, priorities, milestones, risks and success measures.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects or workstreams, keeping priorities, dependencies and next steps aligned.
• Clarify decisions, ownership, timelines, risks and trade-offs, and give leadership clear status updates and early visibility of issues.
• Drive process, system and operating model changes with cross-functional teams and external partners, from planning through launch readiness.
• Hold teams accountable for commitments and deliverables without direct reporting authority, and support post-launch adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects or programs in a global organization.
• Experience turning business cases or strategies into project plans with clear milestones and measurable results.
• Experience partnering with IT teams or external vendors on system or process implementations.
• English with effective oral and written communication.

Required skills

• Project planning, risk management, facilitation and executive communication.
• Change management and communications across audiences.
• Preferred: PMP, PgMP or similar certification; business transformation, CRM, CPQ or quoting tools; Agile or hybrid delivery; omnichannel projects.
