Senior Accountant

About the role

Greywood LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of a portfolio of client companies in Yerevan. You will be the primary accounting contact, ensuring accurate books, tax compliance, and high‑quality financial reporting while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple clients, including month‑end and year‑end close, accruals, depreciation and provisions.
• Prepare annual financial statements under IFRS/IFRS for SMEs and management reports such as P&L, cash flow and budget vs. actual.
• File VAT, profit tax, income tax and other returns via the SRC electronic system, ensuring timely and correct payments.
• Oversee payroll calculations, employment contracts, and personalized income tax reporting.
• Review work of middle and junior accountants, provide feedback, and help onboard new team members.
• Communicate directly with client owners, directors and finance teams, and support external audits with schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on accounting experience in Armenia.
• Experience in an accounting, audit or consulting firm or as chief accountant of a mid‑sized company.
• In‑depth knowledge of the RA Tax Code, accounting and labor legislation.
• Fluent in Armenian, with good Russian and English communication skills.
• Higher education in accounting, finance or economics.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficient use of ArmSoft and/or 1C accounting software.
• Experience with the SRC e‑filing system for tax returns.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and reconciliations.
